Walking / hiking route Viganj – Žukovac – Bilopolje – Orebic

The walking route from Viganj via  Žukovac and  Bilopolje to Orebic offers a truly pleasant walk with marvellous views. The total length of the route is about 7 km and it takes about 2-3 hours of fairly easy walk to complete the route so it could be done easily in one morning (or afternoon).

The simple to follow path leads from Viganj and its beaches up the hill above Kuciste and Perna villages, passing through the hamlet of Bilopolje (with small konoba /restaurant, open in summers only) to Franciscan Monastery and downhill to Orebic (see route map here).

All the way along the route there are great views over the Peljesac channel. As refreshments are available in Viganj and Orebic only, it is recommended to take food and water with you, especially water in warm periods (summer)

This route is recommended for walking and hiking enthusiasts of all abilities including the complete beginners.

Recommended transport:  bus to Viganj (from Loviste or Orebic) or, if walking from Korcula, take a boat to Viganj and boat back from Orebic.
